Around five years ago a man frequently called our office freephone number to ask any female that answered what colour knickers she was wearing. This went on for sometime and the questions varied slightly. We reported it to British Telecom and to the Police but as the calls were coming from a public call box there was nothing they could do. We found that the calls were coming from two public telephones in Coventry. We eventually had to change our freephone number, which meant changing stationery, not to mention inconveniencing customers. Fast forward to yesterday and guess who called? He wants to know if our knickers are off nowdays and if we are feeling sexy. Still coming from the a Coventry pay phone. I wonder how many poor girls he has been pestering over the last 5 years and how many companies he has been disrupting. I am feeling so cross about this now that I really do want to drive up to Coventry and wait by the pay phone to see who is doing this! Any suggestions?

Browned off with green

Is it me or are we being overloaded with new and exciting ways to become greener?
During my journey to work today the radio helpfully gave me tips on how to become an eco-driver. I stopped off at the supermarket and was confronted with an environmentally friendly jute bag, yes I did purchase. My first call of the day was from a company wanting to set up an appointment to see me to discuss how my business could benefit by becoming greener. It appears that everywhere I turn I'm getting greened. So if its happening to me it must be happening to everyone and perhaps these issues are becoming at the top of the agenda at long last. I soon learnt however, that this is not the case. I opened my mail and found I had two letters from a supplier. One was the first page of my latest statement, the other was the second page! Perhaps we still have a long way to go.
